Font activation issues between 2 different releases of Adobe Illustrator

Hi,

I have an issue where if I open an old artwork in Illustrator 2024 the fonts don’t activate but when I open the same artwork in Illustrator 2021 they active as the always have.

I’m using Font Explorer X Pro which I know is no longer supported but it obviously works OK or the fonts wouldn’t active at all so I’m thinking that isn’t the issue but I may be wrong!

Any help/advice would be great.
