Font issue

The type is set to a specific style but when I click on it in the type dialogue box it says it's a different font, or size than what's being displayed.

OK, that is weird. Does that happen with all documents or just some?

It's happening with all .Ai docs from what I can tell but it only started after the last update. I thought it was something to do with the style sheets but it's not. And I've tried clearing the style sheets and resetting them. Sometimes that works but not every time. It caused an issue when I had the wrong font sent to a client but according to my style sheets and the doc it was correct.

It started after the update? Did you already try resetting the preferences (this will erase all your settings)

I'll try resetting preferences.

Resetting preferences didn't change anything—continued to show the incorrect font styles. It's infuriating.

Can you provide a sample Illustrator file with at least one type object that shows the misbehaviour?

I copied an example of where it's happening and pasted it into a doc.
