Re: Adobe FONT Issues

I live in Northern Canada where I am somewhat off the grid.  My internet availability is limited and as a result, I have kept using my Adobe CS Design software and do not use the cloud very much.

My problem at the moment is that I can’t load fonts into any Adobe or Microsoft applications.  While the fonts are selected as on, they do not appear in the font menu.  Oddly enough I can see my new fonts within my Mac Mail account font menu when I formulate an email.

Details:
PLATEFORM: Mac
OS 10.14.6
ADOBE: CS6
FONTBASE: 2.18.1

The fonts that I am most interested in using are as follows:

2Peas Bohemian
1470Jenson
GrutchShaded Regular
HandVetica Regular
Marcelle Script
mixtapeMike
remagg_cz Regular
squeaky chalk sound Regular
Taco Modern Regular
Adobe Caslon Ornaments

I was previously running FootBook 9 but thought to try Fontbase hoping it would work.  Even purchased the upgrade but to no avail.

Can you suggest another means of correcting the situation?

I would also try to use macOS own font management software FontBook (deactivate it first in your other font manager – using several font management apps can result in additional difficulties but worth a try). If you need those fonts you mentioned often I would consider buying a license so you can activate them directly on your machine without any internet access.

I originally used Mac FootBook exclusively, it was when it did not work that I resorted to downloading and using FontBase.  Even updated to premium to no avail. In addition, all of my fonts have been downloaded and unzipped on my Mac.  All of the fonts have been varified as well.

Can you show a screenshot of the font files on your system? Just to see what file format they are (TrueType, OpenType, PostScript Type 1).

So you are using Adobe fonts with a font management app and then Illustrator CS6?

Illustrator is very picky about both font management software and fonts. I am not sure whether CS6 could already handle cloud licensed fonts and maybe the font management app is also incompatible.

Thanks

It would seem that all Adobe & Microsoft apps are an issue.  Perhaps I will download an old version of Pages and see what happens with the fonts there.  FYI:  I originally used Mac FootBook, it was when it did not work that I resorted to downloading and using FontBase.
