In the tutorial there were 3 dots in the shape when activated Freeform Gradient tool. Whereas I got only single dot in my file. Mine is the latest version of Ai. What is the issue?

It's artifial intelligence and it's context sensitive (which can be turned off in Preferneces > General)

Okay I have found it. If you use one color only throughout the shape you can see one dot only. If use gradient color throughout the shape only, you can see three dots.
