Freeform gradient tool not picking the right colours

Hi,

I tried using the freeform gradient tool but facing a couple of issues:

- Everytime I try to use it, it auto picks a random gradient (it was set to orange but picked up a grey one)

- I'm not able to choose the gradient colours I want

Please help.
