freeform gradient

created some freeform gradients, but illustrator cannot separate them using spot colors

is there a way to do this?

i was always able to with radial and linear

And the document is CMYK?

yes, every other shape in the file is a spot color

the gradient is the only thing that is process, and it is only the freeform tool

the radial and linear gradients work fine

newest one, just updated last week, first time using the freeform gradient

Did you check it with the Separations Preview panel?

Seems to work for me.
