Function Keys for Actions

Hi, I can only use f7 to do actions in illustrator. I know I can add a control and shit add on, but I can only have up to 4 actions: f7, f7+ctrl, f7+shift, and f7+shift+ctrl. I really need more actions and it keeps saying I need to use a function key. I also can't use the other function keys with even shift or control.

I was able to figure it out, I was using my function keys as multimedia keys. I fixed it by right clicking on he windows logo and clicking the mobility setting and changing it to function keys.

Why only F7? Because the other keys are used for something else? Or because it doesn't work?

In case this is a request how to use non-function keys: that's not possible. You might make a feature request on http://illustrator.uservoice.com

You could also try if tools like QuickKeys might help assign keys - for Windows perhaps Autohotkey does the same (I don't know it, Google found it)
