Gaps in Offset Paths with Compound Paths

I'm putting print bleed on cut paths, and recently am having an issue where doing an offset path on a compound path creates artifacts. There is a gap in the offset in the middle of the O here, for instance, but only when the word (or paragraph, in use) is compounded. Depending on how big of an offset I create (0.25" or 0.125" on letters 0.2997" tall), the gaps end up in different places on a body of text.

The work around is to uncompound everything before doing the offset... but it'd be cooler if the bug was fixed 🙂
