I have been creating circles filled with a gradient and then adding a gaussian blur to these circles and this has worked in another document before. Now in a new document I'm working in, I try to set the gaussian blur on and there is no change or effect. My document raster effect settings haven't changed - not sure what to do???

1. Create a circle.

2. Fill it with any gradient. I picked one from the Swatches Library > Gradients

3. Choose Effects > Blur > Gaussian Blur

If it's not working in one document, create it another document and copy it into the problem document.

But when I rescale the circle in the second document, the blur is automatically removed and just becomes a circle with a gradient fill?

I will attach a photo of when it is first copied into the problem document, and then made bigger:

You said to these circles, but we don't know what they look like. Can you post the image of the circles as well as your layers panel expanded so that we can tell what is going on. Thanks

Hi Sonia,

Use your appearance pallette to ensure that gaussian blur is applied to the fill. You may have applied to the stroke or other.
