Using Generative AI, how do you draw the same cartoon characters in different positions/scenes?

I  don't need vector output. just the image is fine. do i need a 3-d model to start with or something  so I can rotate it and see different views? Thanks for your help and attention btw.

A 3D model can help, because you could use it as a stylistic reference. 

But still, you would have to use other generative AI models. There are a couple of descriptions online about how to go about it. I can't tell from personal experience whether any of that works. Search for Generative AI produce same character different poses.
