German translation in Illustrator 2022!

Adobe – what the heck? In the 3D panel it says under »Abgeflachte Kante« »Leerzeichen« which is simply a nonsense translation, it continues with »Lautstärke« under »Aufblasen«. »Lautstärke« means volume, that is sound, it has absolutely nothing to do with visual attributes. Why is it that in 2021 you are not even able to deliver a reasonable translation? This is not the way an international company should act, it is a complete failure. Every elementary school student can do it better. My advice: use Google translate!

Yes, Doug, of course there are "Area Type Options" ("Flächentextoptionen") in the Type menu.

But I'm talking about the command to select Area Type objects with the Select menu > Object > Area Type Objects command. In the German version this command is called Flächentextoptionen which is wrong and misleading.

Oh, sorry, I misread your breadcrumb trail there.

There were German-speaking users pushing for this to be sorted in Beta, but it seems it was missed or not high priority enough.

Kurt: is that right? In English the panel is called 'Area Type Options'.

Yes, some translations are pretty weird.

Have you already discovered that for about one or two decades the Select menu > Object > Area Type Objects has been translated as Auswahl > Objekt > Flächentextoptionen?

Nonsense, of course, since it should be called "Flächentextobjekte" instead of "Flächentextoptionen".

Well.
