I can see posts as early as 2009 with this issue still UNRESOLVED. The last thing I found as helpful is to delete the CMAPs of Adobe-Japan1-PS-H and for good measure Japanese83pv.txt. It helped a little, but our whole studio has the problem. PLEASE, we need a definitive fix for this (no, I have no MM fonts or Postscript for that matter. no duplicate fonts in any location). If it's a matter of Hoefler fixing the naming of the font. THAT NEEDS TO HAPPEN.
