GPU acceleration Crash with AMD 8060s graphics

New Here ,
Aug 12, 2025 Aug 12, 2025

I was using Adobe Illustrator, and when I enabled GPU acceleration, problems occurred in the gradient effects and transparency options for making blurs. Reinstalling the software did not resolve the issue. Only by disabling GPU acceleration could the display function properly, which has caused me great difficulty and has prevented me from completing my client's tasks. Please assist in fixing this bug.

Please help resolve this issue.

@14913943 it sounds like it's either a compatibility or driver problem. The fact that the problems with gradients and transparency effects only occur when GPU acceleration is enabled, and that reinstalling the software didn't help, points to a conflict between Adobe Illustrator's GPU rendering engine and the specific driver for the AMD Radeon 8060S. Unfortunately this is not new and has been a recurring some Adobe software and various GPU models over the years, both from AMD and NVIDIA.

Go and install the latest GPU drivers directly from the AMD website. Do not rely on Windows Update, as it may not provide the most recent or stable drivers. AMD frequently releases new drivers that include bug fixes for specific application-related issues. (Note, I did a search of 'AMD Radeon 8060S' on AMD's website, and nothing came up for that particular driver?)

I would also go back to Illustrator Preferences, whereyou might find options to change the "GPU Performance" setting. Try turning off features like "Animated Zoom" or other specific settings to see if it resolves the issue while still allowing some GPU acceleration.
