Hi Vidar,

Sorry to hear about the trouble you are facing with Illustrator. In addition to the details asked above, could you please share a some more information like:

  • Operating system
  • Screenshots of the issue.
  • Is the issue related to a specific document(s)/asset(s)? If yes, could you please share the document(s)/asset(s) with us? You can upload it to the creative cloud and share the download link.
  • When did this start happening? Are there any recent changes made to your system? For example, any antivirus, system updates or web extensions installed recently.

We're here to help!

Regards,

Srishti

Hello

Under you can find a screenshot of the Gradient Annotator from illustrator 2019 where the Gradient Annotator is showing as it should. It works fine in  Illustrator 2019.

In Illustrator 2020 you only see a cross and not as seen in the screen shot from Illustrator  2019

There is also a screen shot of the specifications on my MacBook pro

The problem is both on my iMac pro and my MacBook pro

Did you also select an object filled with a gradient and choose the Gradient Tool (G)?

What kind of object is it? Possibly a live paint group?
