I have been working with gradient mesh by doing a tutorial.   I have lots of questions about it but I will just ask one  this time.

What can you do with the gradient mesh after you are done?  I notice you can't group the images or make a shape.  So do you just leave it in the gradient mesh format and save your work and that's it?   ~Thanks

Hi coldwetnozz

you can leave the gradient mesh as is, yes. It will print or export without trouble. Not sure what you’re looking for though. Is there a specific problem you’re having?

No trouble, really.  I just thought I would be able to get the image out of the gradient mesh so the lines would go away.  But I'll just ignore that!  Thanks!

Like all shapes in Illustrator, you CAN rasterize the gradient mesh, however I would recommend making a duplicate of the mesh (and turning off the visibility) in case you want/need to go back later and change something...once the mesh has been rasterized, you're stuck with it that way and can't change anything...unless you have that "backup".
