Gradient tool not showing

Using Illustrator CC on windows 10. When using gradient tool in live paint, nothing happens.  Can't adjust anything, tool panel does not show, control bar does not show.  Please help.

    It is a known problem, you can vote here:

    Or, if you really need it, install also the previous Illustrator version, CC 2018.
