Gradient with spray effect

I am trying to create something like this

How can i give the spray effect in between the two colours?

I'd try with these brushes

And maybe  use draw inside mode on the shapes,

and if you have the patience, alternate brush srokes / sizes / colours

untill it looks like they intermingle
