Green Rulers and full checkerboard backround

New Here ,

I have been working in Illustrator all day, when I went to make my last file I got this weird all checkerboard screen with green marks around what I think is my art board. I unchecked "Show Center Mark", "Show Cross Hairs" and "Show Video Safe Areas" from the artboard options. Also the"overprint view" isn't checked.

Also when I created the file it created 2 artboards, one the size I dictated, the other was huge.

I attached a screen show of what I am seeing.

I've done this before. Under the View Menu, go down to where the Rulers section is. Choose "Hide Video Rulers."

That is what you get when you base your new document on a Video Preset.

Select one of the Art & Illustration or Print presets when creating a new document.
