Hello,

I've done some research about what graphic tablets are in the market today..

I know wacom is the most common brand due to the variety they have and the powerful and mighty CINTIQ.

However, I'd like to know which tablet I should get, I'm a BEGINNER?

I'd like to buy one that's not that primitive but not too complicated to use..

btw. I don't mean ipads or stuff like that by tablet.

In my humble opinion, you will be wasting your money if you don't buy a tablet that works with the brushes (including Bristle) in Illustrator. Not all do.

Start with a not-too-big Wacom. Make sure it fits on your desk.

Can you tell me the name of one that isn't too big as you said but works with almost everything?

Thanks

If you insist on buying one of the cheaper tablet brands, you could try and select one and then search this forum if there are issues with exactly that model. Some of the issues can be solved. If you find it could be solved, you can try and follow up in one of the newer threads and maybe get feedback from the person that had the issue.

I don't necessarily want to buy one of the cheapest, but a reasonable price one for being a beginner.

Wacom has several tablets besides the Cintiq that are input devices (no monitor) that can attach to whatever desktop machine or laptop you are currently using, and those are much more affordable than the Cintiq. I'd recommend a medium-sized tablet in the Intuos line.

I don't know if you are a Mac user, but the iPad pro works great with the app Astro Pad.

I know you said not pads, but Astropad works almost as good as a Cintiq. At least for me, it does.

I use Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Animate through Astropad on my iPad pro.

Here is a link so you can see for yourself.
