HDR screen colors incorrect (too vivid) inside Adobe ecosystem

Hi,

I just got a new laptop, a Macbook Air M3 chip (before, I had a Macbook Pro intel i7).

And I have a HDR screen, a BENQ PD2700U.

Now, with my new laptop, I get much more vivid colors (too vivid) when using the HDR mode of my screen.

What's even more strange, this only happens within Adobe programs. Most of all my other HDR interface in other programs and MacOS Finder looks like. Even in Adobe, some colors look correct (e.g., within the CC Library window).

Here's what I mean:

This is a problem with the new laptop. My screen with my old laptop plugged in, out of the box, no issues.

I appreciate the help in finding out how to fine-tune color inside Adobe products.

I'm happy to provide more input

Even simpler: just click on View > View Using CPU (CMD + E).
Though performance will also drop

This lady in this video saved the day for me:

Disabling GPU Performance fixes the issue.
Though I do lose the nice Zoom animation.

Would you know how I can get the correct colors with GPU Performance enabled?

Sometimes setting your  external monitor to sRGB helps too (but then you limit your HDR display)

Correction:

Only Illustrator so far seems to have this issue.
Photoshop is actually ok.

Here's another shot, same color, both RGB color space.

Illustrator on the LEFT. Photoshop on the RIGHT.

Can you check the document color profiles, are they the same??

In Potoshop as well as Illustrator you can show it at the bottom of your document window.

@Ton Frederiks thanks for your reply.

Let's go further than that. I used Adobe Bridge to make sure the color profiles are "synchronized" across apps. I'll use Europe General Purpose 3. And test all in the BENQ PD2700U (connected via USB-C to DisplayPort).

SYNC

BRIDGE

PHOTOSHOP

ILLUSTRATOR

RESULT

Opening the same PDF with a gradient

(This is what "synchronized" looks like all open on the same 4K screen, BENQ PD2700U):

Plus, this time, I got to see it fliuckering. And when it flickers, it does show the correct color:
