Help, my paths are invisible

When i try to select a path, the path is invisible. If i click, where i think it is, it becomes visible and i can edit it. But when i draw a path and want to connect it to another path, i cant.

Btw, do u know how to take screenshots without the tool/mouse disappearing?

You can't connect an open path to a closed one. There cannot be 3 path segments connected in one point.

Usually i can. I also have the problem, that if i hover over the path, its not highlighted, only when i click, it appears

Well, no, you cannot connect 3 path segments in one point. It's technically impossible.

 

For the other question: does it get better when you turn on Smart guides?
