Hide Bounding Box

Hey everyone.

So here's my little annoying problem. I've unchecked Used Preview Bounds in Illustrator 2017 pref. and I've turned on Hide Bounding Box. But with every new document I created (without restarting the program), the Bounding Box comes back. Sometimes within the same document. As I said... just annoying, but I'd like to fix it if possible. Thanks!

hey everybody. thanks for responding. I quit illustrator at the end of the day and when I started up again, the problem disappeared.

I can't reproduce the issue you're having. Can you provide some more details like your OS, which objects are showing the bounding boxes, and if you turn them off when do they come back?

    Susan,

Is this (only) happening with the Type Tool?

I am afraid that is a bug to report.
