Question

Horizontal Align Center applied to text with tracking not working

Reading through the new Illustrator features and bug fixes, I noticed there was a fix for "'the 'Horizontal Align Center' option does not align text with the center of object if text has tracking applied on it." I'm not seeing the fix.

Attached is an example of horizontal aligned centered text.

Number 1 is converted to outlines.

Number 2 has tracking applied to all of the letters but the last "D."

Number 3 has tracking applied to the whole text box.

The center of the object on Number 3 is off center from the above two and includes the tracking of the "D" as a object in the text box. Is there a solution?

Hello, deant16030138

When you switch to “Area Type”, they are aligned at the horizontal center. However, because the size of the area is different, it is not cool.
