Dear all,
I am working on a musical score which needs to have graphics and text added to it for analytical purposes. Most of the text is made up of LaTeX equations and I was wondering what my best options were.
Currently (and possibly for a very long time), the notational softwares I use will not support LaTeX (simply because it would be used by 1‰ of the userbase to be optimistic), so I am writing the equation in Apple Pages, exporting them as PDF and then pasting them in Illustrator as graphics above the music PDF which composes the artboards.
Is this the best way? Are there fonts that support superscript/subscript + overset combinations otherwise that would work better?
Here is an example of what I need to use:

Thank you

If there is no OpenType font that can do this kind of stuff, you are basically out of luck.
Exporting to PDF will ruin all this stuff already.
You might have a better chance using InDesign and maybe its text formatting options and the GREP ability can serve yoiur needs better.

Why do you say that exporting to PDF will ruin this stuff?

All the "intelligence" that is inside your text formatting will get lost.

Can't you go straight from LaTeX to PDF, at least removing the need for Pages?

Yes, I could do that.
I just do not have a specific program on my Mac for LaTeX editing, while Pages includes it.
I can also go on a web editor and export from there.
