Hey,

I want to change the color of multiple rectangle (text box) at once.

When I change the color of multiple rectangle with an unique color, the font color changes but not the "background" color of the rectangles.

How can change the colors of multiple text boxes ?

I found a better way to do it, create a graphic style. Then select the ones I want to change and apply the graphic style on it

Can you share a sample Illustrator file with further instructions?

Based on your screenshot and description, it is not obvious how your objects are constructed. Therefore it's not possible to provide an instant solution.

Then you have to carefully select only the paths with the Direct Selection tool or the Group Selection tool. After that you can change the fill colour.

Another way would be to use Recolour Artwork in the Edit menu.
