How can I add or import a font into Illustrator?

Hi,

In Illustrator a font I want to use is not listed, but it is present on the computer. How can I add or import it in Illustrator?

It really depends on if you have a Mac or PC.

Usually you download the font from whatever website or source. Once it downloads, double click on it. This will bring up an installer. Once it is installed it will be usable in any application on your computer.... Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Microsoft word.

Now if you want to go further down the Rabbit Hole... there are programs out there that will manage your fonts. If you have 1000s. You can group them and even turn them on and off. This can come in useful if you are designer.
