Hi community. Is there any shortcut when I want to change the current color from the color group in Illustrator? When I working with Live Paint, I want to change the current color quickly (previous color [keyboard shortcut 1] / next color [keyboard shortcut 2]). Is that possible with keyboard shortcuts? Thank you for your answer in advance.

Perhaps this is not exactly what you are looking for, but if you turn on the Cursor Swatch Preview option in the Live Paint Bucket Options dialog you can navigate and select colour swatches by using the arrow keys (left, right) on your keyboard.

Hi Kurt_Gold. Thank you very much for your answer. When I do this, Illustrator brings me colors from main "Swatches" panel. But I need to choose colors from my own color panel that I have been created. Can I do some changes for it? Thank you again.

Yes, toggle the colour groups by using the up and down arrow keys, then left and right arrow keys.
Or are you talking about separate colour libraries that are not part of the main Swatches palette?

Yes, that's exactly what I mean. Left/right keys only work with main Swatches palette (please correct me if I'm wrong). I can't use left/right keys as shortcuts with my own color libraries. All I want is, choose colors from specific color palettes, if there is a way.

I'm afraid that you will first have to transfer the colour swatches in your custom library to the main Swatches palette in order to get it to work with the arrow keys as described.

Hey. This should be possible with a combination of graphic styles and actions. 🙂

That would be pretty adventurous in case one is dealing with more than - let's assume - 10 colour swatches. 😉

Agreed! But if you were working with a handful, like 5 or so, then it could be workable.

First add the swatches to the swatches panel in the document. If they are in a Library you can add them with a right click or control click on the theme in the Library. I like to delete all of the default swatches before I do this.
Now you can navigate through the swatches left to right with the left and right arrows on your keyboard. If you want to jump to a a different swatch group, use the up or down arrows.
