I have prepared three different pages to fit into a video. The AI art work I have is 1920x1080. There are several layers on each. How can I translate the sizes down to the smaller

    1. Click artboard tool, and up above in controls change your width and height to 720 px x 480 px.
    2. Select all and scale you artwork. You may want to do this visually, or manually change in the transform panel 1080 to 720 or instead 1080 to 720, or both if you wish to distort. You will want to pay attention to your reference point to be in the centerer, or maybe another option. This step depends on who your artwork is built and  what is easier for you.

for future versions option click your scale tool, and you can write down this number for future reference, and just click ok. You may even be able to record an action if you plan on doing this often in the future, but you should first become intimately familiar with scaling and artboards.

Thanks to the both of you. Mike, your answer gave me enough to muddle through and get it done.

    Christine,

Unfortunately, the proportions are different: 40:27 and 3:2, so I am afraid you will have to change the proportions of the original artwork or live with empty parts at the sides of the video.

If you scale down by the factor 0.375, you get from 1920x1080 to 720x405.

You may add 100 px of transparency/blackwhatever at both sides to get to 1920x1280, then scale down by the factor 0.375 to get to 720x480.
