How can I remove unwanted background color in my text

Hi everyone,

I have a problem that I believe is very simple to solve, but I cannot find the right section in my

Illustrator.

I have a text with this unwanted background pink color on it (there´s an image attached, below).

Can you teach me how to remove that from my text/

This suggests a font was used that you do not have available.

Did a warning appear when you opened the file? Your options are to acquire the correct font or use a different one.

Yes, I received the warning about the font, and immediately downloaded it. Still, the background didn´t go away. Should I restart my computer then?

Can you see the font in the list in Illustrator?

I can see the font, but it has a asterisk right above it. Not sure what that means.

Problem solved. I learned that the fonts had an asterisk, because although they had been installed, they need to be activated. Now, eveything is fine.

Did you install the font? Downloading it is not enough.

You have a pink color on your text because the font you're using isn't compatible with Illustrator. so change the font, then you're good.
