How do I open a otf or a ttf?

I have downloaded the file, unzipped it, opened it, and installed it.

Next, I went to the illustrator app, I opened my files, open the otf file, and illustrator says "Clarista.otf is an unknown file format"

What is up with that???

The unzipped file is just a font(s) file?

Open to edit it in a font editor app, OR just use the font by installing it in your Windows/OSX system.

If the files contain artwork plus some fonts, you just have to install those fonts (in Windows 10, click on right button mouse to choose that opotion). When you open your artwork files, text objects will use and display correctly those fonts.

I have a question. I bought files online and they came with 2 otf files and a license. I am currently running adobe on Android s23 ultra. Which adobe app would i run to open these ? None of them work. I cant seem to add these fonts anywhere. When i try wirh acrobat it says. "No app found on device that can open file type"

is there a way to do this on a mac book? im having the same issue where it wont allow me to use otf files.

Are you unable to install any OpenType fonts in your MacBook, or is the problem confined to a particular font file or set of fonts? Are the fonts files something you purchased or downloaded from a free fonts site?
