how do I show my grid and pen tool lines on illustrator

i was on illustrator finishing my orthogonal for school and when i finished it, I accidently pressed something in the menu bar and the grid now only displays dotted grid instead of line grid and the pen tool lines are not showing the shapes I created. 

how do i fix this issue?
