HELP! I am trying to remove the lines from the hanging letters. I found out how to do it using the Pathfinder window but now I am unable to place the gold image within the font. Does anyone know how to do this? I can't figure it out.

In order to edit it, you could first release the existing clipping mask.

Then in order to edit the paths, there are several approaches. Easiest would probably be to cut the complete top part away using pathfinder functions. Then you could just extend the lines to form a triangle at the top and then round this.

You will need the pathfinder panel (not the effects)

Please show what's in the layers panel.

You will need to create clipping masks to put anything into the shapes. Using the pathfinder might have created groups so using the shapes as clipping masks will need some preparation.

Hi Monika. Thank you for responding. I have to figure out how to edit this. Do you know any how-to links or videos that can help?

Maybe it's simpler to create new shapes.
