How do you break words in paragraph?

I want my writings to be like:

Hi, How ar

e you doi

ng? Fine, t

hank you.

But the default illustrator is like :

Hi, How are

you doing?

Fine, thank

you.

I know what Im trying to do is gramatically wrong, but I have to write whole bunch of ingredients and components for a package box and the words are SO LONG that there are too much ugly gaps in it.  I have to break the words in paragraph.

Is the Hyphenate checkbox turned off in your Paragraph Panel?

1. Open Character panel and set Language according to your text 

2. On Paragraph panel turn On the Hyphenate option.

3. If needed, adjust the Hyphenation settings using the Parargraph panel menu
