How do you get the Perceptual box in the gradient panel?

I'm not sure if this is a bug or if the feature is just simply not available for some reason, but I was watching a video that had a perceptual box available in the gradient panel under Freeform Gradient (you'll have to click edit gradient to see it). The person was using Illustraor 2022. But my copy of Illustrator 2022 (vrs. 26.3.1) doesn't have it. I tried using Illustrator on both a Windows computer (running Windows 10) and a Mac computer to see if that might be the cause for the difference, but I still don't see it. Do any of you have this box or know how to bring it up?

Below the top picture is what I have and the bottom one with the orange box is what I saw on a video.

He is probably using a beta version as I see a laboratory Erlenmeyer with a blue dot at the top.

Hi @AddiSl,

Thanks for reaching out. @Ton Frederiks was correct. This feature is currently in development and was included in the old Beta. I have checked with the product team, and they confirmed they plan to release it in future releases. As of now, the date and released version hasn't been decided.

Please be patient and stay tuned for the updates.

Regards,

That means you have an account to watch the videos?

Why don't you just ask the creator of them?

I have not seen that option so far, but probably just because I still do not use freeform gradients for various reasons at all.

Can you share a link to the video?

This is the link: Illustrator 2022 Freeform Gradients.

But you will need to have an account to see the video.

Then maybe @tonyharmer can explain it?
