Cannot for the life of me work out how to adjust the perspective grid to match my image. My image is a photo of 3 boxes piled up on top of eachother. I'm moving the anchor points and can see I'm changing the grid, but it's nowhere near where I need it to be. So confused, is anyone able to help...?! I thought maybe 3-point grid for this one but I'm a beginner so wasn't sure.
Do you want to add graphics to the image of the boxes as they are in the photo, or in an idealised perspective drawing of the boxes?
If it's the former, you might be better off doing it on Photoshop, or if you stay in Illustrator, using the envelope distort functions.
The perspective grid would only be useful for the latter.

It can be done -- roughly -- with 3 point perspective, but your vanishing points will be very far away and adjusting the whole thing becomes quite unwieldy:

Hi Doug, thanks so much for your reply. Okay that's good to have confirmed that it does get quite unwieldly, becasue I was thinking this can't be right. Tutorials on YouTube make it look so easy but I think maybe they're working with more 'regular' perspectives?
I will try to recreate what you have done here. Would that be ready to go and paste onto? (I'm new to perspective grids, still getting the hang of it).

Could you explain your end goal a bit more?

I'd like to apply graphics artwork (branding) to the boxes. There are other methods I could use but I read that Persoective Grid is the most accurate way of doing it. But wondered if I'm using an image where the perspective isn't so straightfoward (like this image) I shouldn't bother?

I've just played around with Envelope Distort, thanks that's helpful.
An idealised perspective drawing of the boxes would be good though, as this isn't a great image of course.
