How to change text in logo? - Beginner

please help, I am a beginner in adobe illustrator. I need to change the the text on another one in logo but couldn't. i don't know why..

Good ideaIf you can please upload the file to dropbox or similar and give the link here, someone will be able to help you. Or maybe a screenshot showing the problem, including the Layers panel.

You can only change it if it is editable text.

If it is an image - photo etc you cannot.

Click on it, and look in the top left corner of the screen and see what it is.

Does it say type?

Other reasons it might be locked, or already changed from text to an object.
