Hello I'm in CS6 version of Illustrator, and for a new project I need to be able to create an 80-page comic format 14,8 cm X 21 Cm., currently I can't get past 40 pages.
Do you have an idea? or help me?
thank you in advance

I think there is nothing wrong by giving some good advice.

When creating a book of 80 pages I would prefer InDesign, a program designed to do that.

80 pages in InDesign left.

80 pages in Illustrator CS6 right.

Your well-meant screenshots are pretty meaningless, at least as soon as the OP does not clarify what he/she is going to do in Illustrator.

Thank you for your help ! I would let you know if it was possible, before trying again on illustrator,so as not to bother me for nothing. because I'm running out of time. Otherwise I will try on in design, if necessary. I will deepen it soon with a rested head. 🙂

How exactly are you doing it?

If in the New document dialog box: are you entering the correct values in the correct unit?

If in the artboard panel: Illustrator CS6 does not automatically shuffle the artboards. You need to move them so that they fit.

But still: arranging them and doing page numbering will be so much easier with InDesign. So why not use it?

Sorry, but that is a bit of nonsense, Monika.

What is your point about page numbering? I cannot find that request in the initial post.

The OP should clarify the issue.

I never contradicted you here, Kurt Gold.

All I did was asked why the OP is not using InDesign for that kind of task.

And I would really love to know what I did to you ...

I agree with Monika, Indesign is better suited to manage a book with 80 pages.

It works perfect with linked Illustrator documents, keeps the file size small when single Illustrator pages or spreads are linked. Although possible, creating a single Illustrator file with all these pages would become quite large.

In this case I don't think one has to agree or not that InDesign or some other applications are better suited to do it.

My comment is referring to the claim that one cannot get past 40 artboards with the mentioned dimensions in Illustrator CS6. That doesn't apply and who knows if we are perhaps talking about a very simple comic strip. 80 artboards wouldn't be a  problem at all ...

Agreeing with Monika does not mean I disagree with your comment that it is possible to create 80 artboards.

Why wouldn't you be able to create 80 artboards with the dimensions you mentioned in Illustrator CS6?

It should be doable without problems (up to 100 artboards in CS6).

Why don't you use InDesign for that?

Thank you for your help, I have already made a comic book on illutrator, by drawing and making the layout. I am used to this software. But I failed to make more pages than 56 pages 15X11 formats

So I prefer Illustrator. I know less in design...
