How to create an endless logo pattern?

I need to create a diagonal pattern for a packaging design that consists of the logo and different icons. I don't understand how to create a seamless pattern from it. Is there any trick here? I work in Illustrator.

You can create an horizontal version with the pattern maker (Object > Pattern > Make).

Fill an object with the pattern an use Rotate to rotate the Pattern only.
