How to create outline of font

I can't find instructions/steps to create outline of text in illustrator.

    Hi, If you are saying to create the outline of text then simply right click on the selected text and then create outline.

    Or select the text and press Shift+crtl+O .

    Select the type object with the Selection Tool (or cmd/ctrl-click). Go to the Type menu > Create Outlines, Or go to the Object menu > Expand. This converts the letters from type to a group of compound paths. If this is not what you mean by "create outlines," please explain in more detail what you want to accomplish.
