How to create this effect

Question

How to create the seemingly stippled/grainy effect of the letters with the disappearing gradient?

So far I've tried mezzotint (but mezzotint mixes other colors that's not in the configuration ive made)

I've tried filmgrain but it has a kind of other gradient underneath

I tried grain effect but I can't set the colors

Please help

You will probably have to do it in Photoshop and apply whatever noise/ dithering to a previously created long shadow as a alyer mask. Creating it in AI would be possible using suitable pattern fills and brushes, but would take a lot longer since you need multiple layers and have to rely on how they blend together.
