Hi everyone
Does anybody know how to create this effect, or how is it called? I assume it's a halftone effect, but it seems the creator used a mesh to distort the letter. Or maybe not?

Preferably if it can be done in Illustrator. Thanks a lot!

This is not easily created. Apart from the thickening of the strokes, they are also distorted. There is a script that does the distortion (not for free) and there is the plugin WidthScribe (not for free) that can do the thickening, but you would then have to first run the script and then run the plugin and both need to be based on a raster image. And still this might not give you that exact result.
