How to draw dash line in Illustrator cs3?

I am wondering how to draw dash line in Illustrator. I know it got be very easy. But I do not know how to do that. Please tell me if you know.

Dashes are a property of normal strokes, so check your stroke palette. Enable "Show Options" in the palette's menu to get access to these extended features.
