Yes I am a newb to Photoshop and adobe. Because adobe tricked me into paying for a subscription to ADOBE STOCK, I now have these "Credits" to use on various stock images. So I am trying to make some designs with whats available. My problem I am having is that I am trying to figure out how to edit the text, basically change it from the text that is in the editable AI file. But I can't find anything online on how to do it. And the replies to some of the postings on here that are somewhat similar to my questions are very vague to where it makes no sense what so ever. So if you happen to know what I'm talking about, please help me out. Pretend I'm some one who never used this program before (I only used this for 3 months) I'm still getting familar with it but I don't know what is where. So saying "oh just Go to the Appearance panel and you will see" Will not be in any way helpful. Cause I would need to know where that panel is and what to click to get to it.

Yes it states .ai .ep and jpeg. The .ai file is the one you need to open in Illustrator.

If it would be editable in Photoshop, .psd would be listed.

Your screendump shows Photoshop, try opening the .ai file in Illustrator.

Thank you Tom for your reply, so from my understanding is that this file can only be edited in Illustrator?

I have opened an 'editable' text vector file within Illustrator and STILL cannot figure out how to edit it. I have gone to the layers, have ungrouped - name it. I cannot manage the task. Aargh

"Editable" can mean a lot of things. And if you have outlined the text, then of course the file is editable, because you can still move the points around.

It is not what you expect from "editable", but if you interpret it by the letter, then it's still true.

Please show the file and please show how it's been advertised.

Here's the answer that you're looking for, and yes, it is hard to find this answer because I've been down this road myself.  If you want to use a "text effect" from Adobe Stock in Photoshop, you need to look for "PSDT" files, which are Photoshop Template files, that use "Smart Objects."  Since there's no direct search for these files, you can put in the Adobe Stock search bar "text effects photoshop" or something like that.  You may need to watch a short video on how to edit smart objects, but once you get it it's really easy.  Don't bother dowloading the .ai (Adobe Illustrator) files.
