Question

How to exit "Isolation Mode" in an Action?

I usually hit "esc" when working normally, but that does not record in the Action and I don't see a way to insert it manually. Nor do I see a "menu item" to accomplish it.

I used a 3rd party macro tool called "Keyboard Maestro" to add a "click" to set the "Key alignment object" and type "Escape" to exit isolation mode. I would probably be better off writing the full macro in "Keyboard Maestro".

    Thanks for your responses.

There is a menu item in the layers panel menu.

    If that does not work:

Is there a thread on Adobe Illustrator Feedback so people can vote on it?

I tried that, Monika, along with (I think) six other possibilities, and none was recordable.

If i understand what you say, just double-click outside of isolation mode.
