Hey guys,

I want to make a brush pattern of a bicycle chain. I made the shape but when I want to drag it into the brush panel to make it a brush pattern, this message shows: "the selected illustration contains anelement that can't be used to make a brush pattern".

What am I doing wrong here? Happy to hear your help.

Can you show something?

Maybe it contains another Pattern.

The artwork cannot contain gradients, blends, other brush strokes, mesh objects, bitmap images, graphs, placed files, or masks.

For art and pattern brushes, the artwork cannot contain type.

Don't use Gradient to the object. If you used it then Delete it and try again... It works for me.
