How to flip an object on artboard for repeat

Hi There,

I want to make a repeat pattern.

I tried to duplicate and mirror the object you see selected on the screenshot.

My pb is that I can't mirror it on the opposite side of the vertical axe. It only allow me to flip it. And if I drag the object on the opposite side, it is not perfectly aligned.

Can you thelp me?

Take the Reflect tool

Hold down ALT and then with the reflect tool click where you want the center point to be

In the dialog box select vertical axis and click on Copy.

Thanks for your reply. Am not sure if I understood everything. Can you be more specific or share a video?

Because I have no idea how to place the center point.
