Hello @Hendy374084080dng,
Thanks for reaching out. When saving an Illustrator document as a PDF, use the following options to reduce file size:
Preserve Illustrator Editing Capabilities: Allows reopening the PDF for editing in Illustrator but increases file size. Disable for smaller files.
Optimize for Fast Web View: Reduces size by enabling page-at-a-time downloading, helpful even if not for web use.
Create Acrobat Layers: Saves top-level Illustrator layers as Acrobat layers for generating different versions of the document.
Compression Options: Adjust down sampling and compression settings for images and text. Use ZIP for lossless compression and JPEG for smaller file sizes.
Note: Please create a copy of your original file in case you need to get back to it.
Feel free to reach out if you have more questions or need assistance. We'd be happy to help.
Thanks,
Anubhav

Hendy,
As I (mis)understand it, you are asking about a (copy) of the document saved as PDF.
In that case you can save without preserving Illustrator Editing Capabilities.
Edit: And what Anubhav said sooner than I.

Depends on what you want to do with it.
if you are preparing a PDF for professinal printing, and you have many images, there's are physical limits to how much compression that can be done without being detrimental to the quality of the output. In that case 10MB is actually a very small file.
If it's a simple file, however, just make sure you are not including the native Illustrator portion, as already explained by the others here.
What is the content of your file?

In addition to what was already suggested, you can save the PDF in Acrobat as a reduced file size PDF.
Do it as a copy, because it will not only reduce the filesize, but also reduce the quality if images are used.
