How to get rid of the upgrade pop-up?

Every time I open Illustator 2025, this huge pop-up window appears, prompting me to upgrade my product. Selecting "Don't show again" does absolutely nothing, regardless of which I click next ("Upgrade now", "Maybe later", "View all...", or just the "X" to close).

Not only is it annoying in itself (I can't/don't want to upgrade), it slows down my work by:

1. slowing everything down while waiting for the pop-up to load

2. making me waste my time closing it, and closing it, and closing it

If anyone knows how to get rid of this, I'll be eternally grateful.

No, it really really doesn't. I tried all combinations: "Upgrade now"+"Don't show again" , "Maybe later"+"Don't show again" , "View all..."+"Don't show again" , or just "Don't show again" + "X" to close. (I didn't upgrade, but was hoping that clicking it would do the trick 😞 )

Hi @Ninna76,

Sorry for the delayed response. I believe there was a service outage during that period, which could have caused this issue. I’ve confirmed with the team that the issue has since been resolved.

If you encounter the same issue again, please let us know, and we’ll be happy to assist you further.

Best regards,

Anshul Saini

@Ninna76 when you open Illustator 2025, did you use the 7-day trial period? If so, after the trial period is over, it means that you need to purchase it. You won't be charged until after the trial ends, and you can cancel within 14 days without a fee. After the trial, it will automatically convert to a paid Creative Cloud membership plan unless you cancel.

If you don't want to/can't upgrade, unfortunately, it won't work evetually. This is their way in telling you you need to upgrade it! Adobe Illustrator is a paid subscription, but you can also try Adobe Express for free to make collages, flyers, videos, and animations if that's what you need to use it for. Or you can also try Adobe Fresco on the iPad.

Thank you for your reply.

I've been using Illustrator for years now. Monthly subscription - on current machine since 2023. So no 7-day trials. I simply have no need to subscribe to other apps. This issue appeared recently - though I cannot say precisely when, because between April and October I haven't been using it much - but I think I would have noticed it earlier, had it been there for more than a week.

Could you perhaps show the popup you are referring to?

And clicking on "Don't show again" does not help?

@Anubhav M can you please take a look at this?
