Hi folks,
I have a basic understanding of Illustrator. I saw a text effect that I really like but for the life of me I can't figure out how it is done. It used a gradient on two words, Wildlife Nuisance, which is easy but then a background is placed behind the words and for the life of me I can't figure out how that white-green gradient background
was done. Maybe this wasn't done in Illustrator. Any thoughts?
Thanks for your time and patience,
Greg

Add one more fill and an additional stroke in the appearance panel.
Apply Effect > Path > Offset path to the fill
Apply Offset path effect and Effect > Pathfinder > Add to the stroke

Found the distort. But I don't seem to be able to control the gradient handle.

Can't seem to change the positioning of the handle. I guess it is attached to the fill.
