How to make a non-tapered texture brush?

Community Beginner ,

Hi everyone!

I'm using this charcoal feather brush (default setting) right now but I'd like the end not to be tapered like the image below,

I'd like it to be fully extended & textured until the end point. How could I do that??  I know there's setting for each brush but not really sure

how to change it... Thank you!!

Another possibility would be to drag the brush from the Brushes panel to the artboard.

Use the white Direct Selection tool to drag over and select the portion of the brush that you want to eliminate.

Hit Delete.

Select the revised brush with the black Selection tool and drag tit into the Brushes panel to create a new Art Brush.

Not without changing the brush itself.

You could drag the charcoal brush out of the brush palette on to your canvas, then duplicate it and rotate it around 180 degrees and position it to look like one continuous brush stroke.

Next, select both brush strokes and drag them to your brush palette to create a new art brush.

See below:

As you can see when applying the new art brush, both ends are thick and do not taper off.

There are a bunch of other brushes you can try by going to the Brushes panel, to the flyout menu in the upper right, to Open Brush Library... > Artistic and then select one of the many options there. Based on the sample you posted, I'm guessing that the options in Artistic_ChalkCharcoalPencil are what would work best. You might try Chalk - Blunt, but it has an angled end, so it might not work for a rectangle. Charcoal - Rounded also looks good.

Additionally, you could use the Width Tool (Shift + W) to expand the tapered end.
